This is the new “Christians Are Us” blog. This isn’t just any blog, but rather a Bible Study Blog that is centered on Christian growth and especially for the young Christians. Of course, you are able to bookmark this site and come visit as you would like so you can see the changes as they happen. 

Great News!!!

When this blog was first started, I took it very seriously and wanted (still do) to make a very big difference in just one person’s life through the use of this blog and the information found in it.  The GREAT NEWS is that I have finally invested in this blog and I’ve removed the “.wordpress” from the IP address that you see in the address line of your browser.  What was the purpose of this move?  I have found by talking to people that are interested in this blog but they might not be able to remember all the “christiansareus. something”.  Now you can find the Christians Are Us blog at http://ChristiansAreUs.com.  Now you and I are able to tell people that they can find this blog at just “ChristiansAreUs.com” and it will be catchy and memorable to them and they will remember “Christians Are Us” and be able to find it easier.  Great News, right?  I’ve been looking forward to this time for a long while.  Keep in mind that anybody that still uses the “http://christiansareus.wordpress.com/ ” address will still be able to get to the same place, so nobody has to change anything in their bookmarks.  NOW, it IS great news!

WHAT’S NEW? — Check out the Testimonies section: featuring select Christian testimonies that are intended to enrich and encourage Christians.  Also, check out our new resource in the Armed To Be Dangerous section.  It is designed to be a resource for the Christians that are looking to see what the Bible has to say about a particular subject.  Keep in mind that it is under construction and I am updating the subjects as I can.  Keep checking back and/or write a comment or email me and request the information that you are looking for and I will see what I can come up with for you.  You might also check through the blog in the different areas, I may have already written/posted something about what you are looking for. 

Also, check out a new addition to our blog.  We have a guest contributing author sharing some of his material with us in the form of a small Bible study called, “The Centrality of the Local Church“.  It lets you know what the local church is, what it does and why we all need to be part of one – all according to the Word of God.  Check it out and don’t forget to let him know what you think of his contributions.

, was chosen to do a feature on an awesome book, Live Second; 365 Ways To Live Second. This book is a great devotional covering 365 days worth of Christian principles that are important for our daily Christian lives.  The book is on the stands now and is a great read — I know because they gave me an advance copy to check out so I could tell you more about it in the i am second section.  I strongly recommend this book!  

I want this site to be a place where you can come for encouragement, instruction, education and a place to mingle with other Christians.  Please feel free to post a comment on any of the posts and let us know what you think of it.  Please make sure that all comments are Rated G and that they are relative to the subject  - all others will be deleted.  If you have questions regarding the life of a Christian or something is weighing on your heart, leave it as a comment and I will do my best to address it and encourage discussion as well.  If I can’t answer the question, I will do my best to get the answer for you.  I encourage the challenges for all of us.

For those of you who are new Christians, please visit our Growing in Grace section which is a Bible study written by Dr. Ed Nelson, that is geared for the New Christian that hardly knows anything about being a Christian and what a Christian needs to believe according to the Bible.  We are going through a 13 week course that covers the main parts of Christianity and our theology.  Take the opportunity to get in on this study starting with week 1 and move through the study as it suggests that you do.  If there are any questions on any part of it, feel free to post a comment and I will see that it is answered.

For the Christians that have been around for a while, there is more meat for you to chew on in our Bible Study section.  We address the harder subjects that newer Christians might not be able to understand.  I am starting to go through a Core Beliefs area that will go through the in-depth subjects about what the Bible says about subjects that might be a little difficult for most people to talk about because they don’t know that much about it.  These beliefs are not based on a religion or  denomination or even a cult, they are subjects that are addressed directly with the Bible as the Source and our Lord speaking out on certain subjects as they come about.  Check it out and see what you are missing out on.

I’m also trying to put in a devotional section as a quick read in the morning (or any time of day) to get you grounded in the Word for your day and help to arm you with the whole armor of God (Eph. 6:14 – 18).

Remember to sign up for the updates by email at the top right of the page so that when I publish something to this site, you will get it in your email inbox.  And, we also have a place on Facebook where we discuss the behind the scenes functions of our blog site. What better way for you to keep up with the growth of the Christians Are Us group.  Jump in and keep up.  I will add subject matter as much and as fast as I can.  It takes a lot of studying and searching and typing and formatting and button pushing and other stuff to make it happen.  (At least give me the satisfaction to know that someone is seeing it.)

Make sure to guide your other Christian friends to this site. What better way to get your new converts to become discipled if you aren’t able to.  I am providing all you need to do that.  

Learn how you can share the Word of God with others when you are put in the position to do so.  I provide you with multiple methods of sharing the Word of God.  There are also scriptures for different subjects that you can use to refute their objections.  Become the authority on the subject instead of letting someone beat you down with objections that, honestly, they don’t even know much about.  And you are going to let them get you down and run away with your tail between your legs?  Don’t let that happen.  God’s word tells us that we are supposed to be ready to give an answer “to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear”.

 I pray that you will get as much of a blessing from this as I will get from producing it.
