Forgiveness

Forgiveness from God:

Psalm 32:1, 2
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.  Blessed is the man unto
whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in
whose spirit there is no guile.”

Psalm 51:1, 2
“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy
lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of
thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.”

Hebrews 8:12
“For I will be merciful to their
unrighteousness, and their sins and
their iniquities will I remember no more.

Isaiah 43:25
“I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy
transgressions for mine own sake,
and will not remember thy sins.”

Isaiah 55:7; — “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Proverbs 28:13
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them
shall have mercy.”

1 John 1:8, 9
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Psalm 103:2 – 5; — “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseasesWho redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

2 Peter 3: 9
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance.

Forgiveness of Each Other:

Matthew 5:7
“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”

Mark 11:25 – 26; — “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke 6:35
“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend,
hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall
be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:
for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”

Proverbs 25:21, 22
“If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat;
and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head,
and the LORD shall reward thee.

Ephesians 4:32
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s
sake hath forgiven you.

Luke 17:3, 4
“Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass
against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and
seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent;
thou shalt forgive him.”

Matthew 18:21 – 22
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times:
but, Until seventy times seven.
