for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

and with fire:”

Matthew 3: 13 – 17
13 “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 “But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 “And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

— John 1: 26, 29
26 “John answered them, saying,
I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you,

36 “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 “And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
39 “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”

— Acts 9: 17, 18
17 And Ananias went his way,
and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said,
Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee
in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive
thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.”

5 “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:”

and through all, and in you all.”

now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh,
but the answer of a good conscience toward God,)
